Review: Landing

“Passages Through”
(K Records)

Guy/girl, dreamy, slow motion, space-rock .  Sort of a retro Creation Records shoegazer vibe ala Slowdive.  All the delay/chorus/flange/tremeloed out droning guitars, spare drums and whispery vocals of the genre are represented here.  Lazy melodies and washes of mellow sound.  Nothing bad, as this music is so geared towards the background that it never could be in your face enough to annoy.  Those who like their indie-pop a little more present might want to look elsewhere, but those who are freaks for sleepy, casual post-rock will easily find another favorite in Landing.
