HomeMusicReview: Swingin’ Utters Swingin’ Utters “Dead Flowers, Bottles, Bluegrass and Bones” (Fat Wreck Chords) The real question is, should I swap the “s” in “Utters” and “Swingin'” with dollar signs? The CD cover says “$wingin’ Utter$” but typing that looks stupid . Swingin’ Utters new album is fast, tight and mature, whatever the fuck that means. I have yet to hear something bad by the SU, even when they snuck in the slower, psuedo country licks on the last album (the self titled release) or the side project, Filthy Thieving Bastards. “Dead Flowers, Bottles, Bluegrass and Bones” goes right into my CD collection, where it’s safe and warm. If you’re new to the world of Utters, think the literal term of punk rock.
