HomeMusicReview: Die Toten Hosen Die Toten Hosen “Crash-Landing” (Nuclear Blast Records) German Punk. I must admit this is a new concept for me. The band from Dusseldorf, West Germany as the Producer so points out to us, sounds to be a cross between the Clash and the techno revolution of the Nineties. They do a cover of I Fought The Law that sounds exactly like the legendary Clash. With many hit albums under their belt in Europe, Crash-Landing is their first international debut. The band has been around in one form or another since 1981 and it shows in the different styles played on the album. I could sense a little British inspired punk in the first few tracks and a Scorpions feel in Soul Influence. Though this album may not be for everyone, it is definitely refreshing to hear this hybrid of music. I recommend going to their website, www.dietotenhosen.de and downloading some songs.
