HomeMusicReview: Xasthur Xasthur “Telepathic with the Deceased” (Moribund)Too burnt out from a hard day at work to mosey down to the nearest graveyard for that virgin sacrifice all your Satan buddies have been talking about for weeks? No probs, just chuck on this disc by Xasthur. First track is just under four minutes of ominous synths and enough to get you yet one step closer to Beezlebub. Things dont fair well after that though, as the next nine tracks sound like a recording of a gang rape in a wind-tunnel. And if its not your buddies from the graveyard doing the giving, then its them whove been receiving. A mess of treble, stupidity, boredom, depravity, perversity, and hilarity. Doesn’t make for easy listening, thats for damn sure.
